VIEWS ARE MY OWN

OPINIONS ON THIS PAGE ARE MY PERSONAL VIEWS

Shakespeare said "All the world's a stage . . ." I agree! I believe that life is one big improvisation! I love helping leaders explore the way art and creativity can improve life and intersect with the business/non-profit world! What do you want to learn today? What do you want to create? Let's do a scene!

WEBSITES and BLOGS

d11 consulting, the amazing Debra Trappen is a Social Media genius and I love the creative inspiration I get from her!

Jon Acuff, author of QUITTER and START. I enjoy the practical, humorous advice from Jon who works to inspire people to purposefully move on to other work -among other things. He's a hoot to follow on Pinterest, as well!!

Marshall Goldsmith's 20 Bad Habits For my tastes, this list, taken from the book "What Got you Here Won't Get you There" is just about the definitive list on interpersonal behavior. If you can spend most of your life avoiding doing ANY of the things on the list, I think you can still be a unique, creative individual that is also able to get along with others!

Seth's Blog, author Seth Godin author of many books on marketing and selling and doing things different. I especially liked POKE THE BOX. TONS of free, inspiration on his website, as well.

Escape Adulthood with Kim and Jason, a great example of folks who've found work they love and they share it with the world. Whenever work gets too serious, I take some time with Kim and Jason and remind myself that, "in a year, it just won't matter."

Dan Pink, author of DRIVE and other books. Reading DRIVE made me realize that I wasn't going to be able to love my current job; gave me the insight and confirmation that it was time to leave.

Disney Institute, this site uses a LOT of corp-speak but much of the advice is sound. This is one of the most creative, innovative companies I've ever worked for, so I will cut them some slack on the jargon!

Julia Cameron Live, the author of THE ARTIST'S WAY a great course on creativity and unblocking. I use one of her tools,  Morning Pages, nearly every day and, during summer vacation, I have my kids use this tool, as well - to keep their writing skills and imagination sharp!

Soul Pancake, lots of creative, funny and positive inspiration here! Home of "Kid President" and Flip Side movies!
